After ten years on the net, Tallulahs.com has been being constantly bombarded with tribulations.
The latest tribulation is that the most major search engine and pay service handlers
(and we won't name them) consider this site "pornographic" because there are nude poses
and nude art. Obviously, they have never painted or used a model in an upstanding way!
In an attempt, to conform to their standards, over the last year and a half, we took down most
of our research articles, master artists who used any nudes, and many of our more risqué postcards.
All to no avail.
The site is permanently grouped with porn sites so if you go searching for
the site, you should put in "vintage erotica" or some such term just to find us...and more likely
you will find a site that is connected to us. The word Tallulah's will bring up E-bay before us.
Unforuntately, this isn't just happening to us but every site and artist who has
"objectionable" art using the words "nudes and/or erotic" art are experiencing the same fate as we are.
This gives us all pause to wonder where the Internet is heading…. We would like to give thanks to Dubyah,
his evangelist friends, and of course, China.
So, we gave up and said to forget them!
The site is going back up and all the articles and images as well.
If you enjoy the site, please tell your friends and send them a link.
Meantime, we are working on another CD, due out in September. We will also be
selling offensive postcards for those of you who have asked for them.
They should be up within the next month.
